Are we slightly crazy?

Eleanor, Calder, Ben, Mia, Liam,
Caden, and Evan (Miss Seneca was resting downstairs)

Quite possibly, yes. While we had a great time Saturday, it was quite a bit busier than the last few times my cohorts and I have gotten together. I suppose the days of watching babies lay and bat at toys has passed us, but what a crazy morning. Not many complete sentences were exchanged, but I think a good time was had by all!

The morning started off with a bang. Just as Kim arrived with Caden and Evan, Mia called 911! I had grabbed the phone from her and hit "off" when I noticed her pounding on the buttons. Moments later, the phone rang. Since I didn't recognize the number, I almost didn't answer. Thankfully, I answered the phone! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time. At least they didn't send a cruiser; imagine the implications for teenage gatherings if the police show up when you're still a toddler!

The rest of our time was occupied with gangs of toddlers roaming the house. Lots of Mac and Cheese was consumed and the moms even forgot to make their mimosas! It's really amazing how well they all get along. We can't wait until our next get-together, at someone else's house, of course.

  1. Definitely crazy! It's good to have friends to share the insanity of motherhood. Thanks for hosting!
